Care Support Worker

Support Workers required immediately in the Birmingham area to support adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Challenging Behaviour on a temporary and permanent basis.

Successful applicants must have a minimum of 12 month’s experience working within the Care Sector supporting adults or children with Learning Disabilities/Epilepsy/Down Syndrome/Dysphagia/Autism and Challenging Behaviour.

Duties:
– Provide a safe, stable, happy environment for service users
– Personal care duties which involves encouraging personal cleanliness, personal hygiene and appearance according to individual care plans.
– Assist with medical and welfare needs, and report accordingly to the policies & procedures
– Domestic duties which includes – washing, cleaning, laundry, shopping and preparing meals

To apply you must have:
– NVQ Qualification 2/3 in care.
– Minimum of 12 months experience, working with adults or children with Learning Disabilities associated to Autism
– Flexible to work on a rota to cover shift patterns that consist of either an early, late or wake night.
– Car driver is desirable but not essential

Successful applicants will be subject to Enhanced DBS check and 3 years

Hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-10pm, (Sleep-in)
(Alternate) Saturday & Sunday 8am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
