Days
- Experience of setting and operating vertical borers.
- Working on Webster & Bennett 62″ diameter tables
- Main task will be machining of flanges, face, edge and bore.
- Tolerances are within +/- 1mm rather than +/- 0.1mm
- Must be able to understand/interpret conventional drawings and must have good communication skills in order to fully understand both the verbal and written instructions for the machining requirements.
- The machining is not high precision, they describe this as ‘roughing’ work prior to the final precision.
- Radial Drilling
- Setting and operating a range of radial drills- from 3′ 6″ to 10 capacity
- Experience with the setting of Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD)
- Must be able to set and operate with minimum supervision, experience in setting both feeds and speed of radial drills.
- Other Desirable Attributes (Conventional Lathe Turning)
- Centre lathe turner manufacturing carbon & stainless steel flanges, (Not CNC) using conventional lathes.
- Tolerances are upto +/- 1mm
