We are currently recruiting for an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, ideally with a background in plant and machinery maintenance and repair. Working knowledge of single phase and 3 phase electrical works on industrial sites. Our client is one of the country’s leading independent, manufacturing and distribution companies.
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday
Salary: £16.00ph
General duties will include:
- The repairing and testing of defective equipment (Cables, Plant, Machinery etc)
- Installation and wiring of electric motors and other industrial machinery.
- Preventive and reactive Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on existing machinery
- Completing routine inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition, to prevent H&S issues.
- Ensuring maintenance work is properly recorded on the CMMS.
Skills
- Must be able to work on single Phase and 3 Phase (415v, 240v and 110v) electrical items and plant.
- Must be able to read technical drawings and instructions
- Must be able to adhere to ALL current Health and Safety regulations
- Must be able to multi-task whilst prioritising workloads
- Must have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Must have basic computer skills, Word, Excel, Email etc.
Qualifications Required:
- City and Guilds 2382-18, 18th Edition for Electrical Installations
- City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in Mechanical Engineering
